| On
the evening of March 8, 2010, in Iowa,
my partner of many years and I married
one another in a small ceremony attended
by family and friends. |

|
The
pre-wedding walk to reduce the jitters.
No cold feet here, but we both were
nervous.
|
Betty
and me after the ceremony. I can't help
it - I was a bit teary-eyed.
|
 |
|
|
Happy
faces.
|
Angel
(L) and Monte (R) were our witnesses.
They got married only a few days before
we did.
|
|
|
|
|
Scott
(married to Susie), Alyssa (Scott and
Susie's daughter), cousin Mary, and
cousin Susie. I'm on only child, and
now that my mom is gone, I have a small
family. We were so blessed to have them
here.
|
Betty's
older brother Bruce traveled all the
way from New Jersey to be with us.

Lori
Lake with Betty and me.
|
Dear
friends Teresa and Jens.

|
Let
the Reception begin! We went to the
Pizza Ranch and had a great time.
|
The
best reception planners ever: April
and MB.
|
Nice hat, huh? I don't
know why I felt the need to place the
duck party-favor on my head, but there
you have it.
|
|
| |
Betty and me - friends
forever, lovers always - may we have many
many years to walk through our lives together. |

Here are some shots
of friends and me from the
2009 Bouchercon Convention in Indianapolis

|
Pat
Cronin, Sherry Mills, and me with some
sort of major electrical disturbance
coming out of my brain
|
Sherry
Mills and me - I think she's a lot more
drunk that I am here <g>
|

Chris Paynter (L),
who does a mean rendition of Melissa
Ehteridge in karaoke and Lori L. Lake
(R), who's still working on her karaoke
dance moves (and will be for a long,
long time)

|
|
Me
and Lori Lake, the morning after. I
think I look a LOT more with it than
Lori does!

|
|
Here are some other
random shots

|
Me
perched to check out the U-Haul engine
from when Betty, Lori Lake, and I drove
down to Nashville for a bookselling
gig in 2009

Me
and one of my best friends, MB, in the
best Halloween costumes ever!
